Week 27 Results

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Well we weren’t able to pick up the win in the third game either but we won by enough in the first game that we still won overall total, picking up 3 points on the night. The snakes haven’t been doing so hot as of late and will probably fall to 9th or 10th place with next week’s standings. It’s a good thing that we won first place in the first half.

Jen 155 110 150 Total: 415
Flash 164 168 146 Total: 478
Bob 184 174 161 Total: 519
Brandon 193 167 206 Total: 566

Bob was able to pick up three points, narrowly missing the bonus two points by only five pins. Andrew was able to pick up two and Brandon one while the leader, Jen, came away empty handed. With only four or five weeks left, it looks like it will come down to the wire again.

MEAT

Friday, February 8th, 2008

Meat meat meat meat, meat meat meat meat.

(Snap out of it!)

OK, so tonight we went to Bacana, a Brazilian meat-on-a-stick joint in Chesterfield as my reward for winning the first half bet with the bowling team and the evening was meaty. For those who don’t know, waiters come around to the table with meat on large skewers and cut of hunks for you while you sit there and bask in the meatiness of it all. The highlight was the beef tenderloin, but we also enjoyed the filet, garlic filet, top sirloin, pork tenderloin, sausage, chicken wings, bacon-wrapped chicken, shrimp, lamb, and block steak.

All in all, it was a meaty evening.

Prebowl!

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Jen and I are going away for the weekend to Rochester, NY to attend Kristy and Dermot’s wedding. Even though we’re scheduled to be back in time for bowling, our expectations for flight timeliness are very low. Consequently, we decided to prebowl. Olivette was half empty, so we didn’t have to worry about taking up lanes, and with just the two of us it went really quick.

Jen started out on fire, beating me in the first game while collecting two points on The Bet. I came back and got her in the last two games, and picked up points in all three.

All in all, I say it was a pretty decent effort.

Jen 191 133 131 Total: 455 2 Points
Bob 177 162 163 Total: 495 3 Points
